Apologies-photos not being published for some reason

For some strange reason photos are not being published at the moment on our blog pages. You can still reach them by clicking on the blank square and we are working on having it fixed.

Thank you.
P.S. If you can see Kamala doing a yoga pose...it means that it has been fixed :)

David's journal

David has been a good boy and is writing his journal ever since he has moved out.
I am so glad to hear that he is well and his humans are serving him as he deserves.

Take a moment to read about his adventures here, it is really worth it as his ghost writer has a very sharp seance of humor and his mum takes excellent photos.

Harski's Roses and Little Prince

We are often asked why all of our babies are named after Roses.After a long time I was reading The little prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and that was just it...the part where he talks with the fox reminded me of my relationship with Harski....It is the time you have wasted on your Rose that makes your Rose special...You are always responsible for what you have tamed.
We wanted our kittens to be as special to their new owners. :)

The little prince went away, to look again at the roses.
"You're not at all like my rose," he said.
"As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one.
You're like my fox when I first knew him.
He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes.
But I have made a friend, and now he's unique in all the world."
And the roses were very much embarrassed.
"You're beautiful, but you're empty," he went on. "One could not die for you.
To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you
–the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she's more important
than all the hundreds of you other roses:
because it is she that I have watered;
because it is she that I have put under the glass globe;
because it is for her that I've killed the caterpillars
(except the two or three we saved to become butterflies);
because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled,
or boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing.
Because she is MY rose."

And he went back to meet the fox.
"Goodbye" he said.

"Goodbye," said the fox.
"And now here's my secret, a very simple secret:
It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;
what is essential is invisible to the eye."

"What is essential is invisible to the eye,"
the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."

"It is the time I have wasted for my rose–"
said the little prince so he would be sure to remember.

"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it.
You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
You are responsible for your rose…"

"I am responsible for my rose,"
the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.
